¹¹ Abraham answered, “I said to myself, ‘Certainly there will be no fear of God^[a] in this place, and they will kill me because of my wife.’ ¹² Besides, she is really my sister, the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife. ¹³ When God made me wander from my father’s homeland, I said to her, ‘Please do me this favor. Wherever we go, say that I am your brother.’ ”
